One of my favorite memories is from when I was very little out in the San Juan Islands and we saw a pod of orcas. My grandpa turned the engine off and he and my mom pulled in the fishing lines and we just watched as the whole pod surrounded us. They stayed by us for a long time - not just swimming past - and they showed off with jumps and tricks. A mama even brought a baby up to swim past us. It is one of my first memories and it’s a good one!
